Position: Pet Detective

Tristate Pet Finders is looking for active or retired law enforcement investigators, Animal Control Officers, Animal Care Technicians, FAA Certified Drone Operators, Animal Behaviorist & Trackers on a per assignment basis.  Tristate Pet Finders is seeking personnel to investigate, track, capture & or recover missing animals.

Hours and Environment

There are no fixed working patterns. The hours can be irregular and depend on the client and situation at hand.

States – New York, Connecticut, New Jersey

We can travel to additional states if necessary, at an additional cost.

Qualifications needed

• Sign a non-disclosure agreement
• Submit to a background check
• Must be over the age of 23 and have had a driver’s license for 3 years

Skills required

• Have a professional and pleasant personality and show empathy and patience with people who are under stress
• Excellent customer service skills and pay attention to detail
• Familiarity with New York City, Greater N.Y., area, N.J. and Connecticut
• Have good communication skills and the ability to quickly learn and follow procedures
• Be calm and decisive
• Must have a smartphone (Blackberry / iPhone / Android) and know how to use it.
  

Skills or education that are a plus but not mandatory

• Law enforcement experience, preferably an investigative background
• Education or experience in animal sciences, veterinary sciences, or work experience in animal care
• Knowledge of animal control procedures and the ability to work under stress;
• Licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator
• Licensed FAA Drone Operator, Part 107 certified
• NYC TNR certified
